New Balance Running Shoes Promise Quality and a Great Fit
New Balance Running Shoes began their life in 1961 as the
Trackster, the world's first performance running shoe made with a ripple
sole and available in multiple widths. New Balance's reputation
grew throughout the 1960s as a manufacturer of innovative performance
footwear available in multiple widths.
New Balance was simply the first of it's kind to offer
a solution to athletes with a wider foot.
Their values were based
on fit, performance, and manufacturing. They were able to fill a void in the running shoe market and became hugely succesful.
Today the New Balance
mission is to become the world's leading manufacturer of high
performance footwear and apparel.

Great Features with NB Running Shoes
New Balance have a highly developed suspension system in their running shoes. The suspension system features everything from motion control to shock absorption which certain levels of these components are integrated into each and every New Balance Running Shoe to suit each and every runner's needs. When shopping for New Balance runners, some of the suspension system features the running shoe will feature are:
- Stability Web® gives support to the midfoot while reducing the overall weight of the shoe. Stability Web allows for torsion and flexion control in the arch while maintaining flexibility in the forefoot.
- Abzorb® provides cushioning in the heel and forefoot. Abzorb absorbs shock and displaces energy to soften the impact of each foot strike.
- N-ergy™ provides enhanced supportive cushioning. It has a three chamber design - an elliptical center that allows for responsive cushioning and two outer stabilizing rims for motion control and support.
- Graphite Rollbar® - a pronation control device and maximizes rearfoot stability. The Graphite Rollbar stabilizes the foot on impact by preventing inward rolling. A great feature for the moderate to severe over-pronators. Other stability devices offered are the Medial Post and the TPU Post.
Comfort is Number One when fitting a new running shoe and that is why it is so important to find the shoe that fits. A proper fit decreases the runner's chance of injuries and aids in optimizing performance. New Blance is the only running shoe that offers separate width sizes from narrow to extra wide, a very appealing feature for those of us whose feet do not fit in a normal width. The New Balance Runner has a focus on function not fashion. With it's availability in multiple widths and an undeniably comfortable fit has kept me coming back time and time again to chose New Balance for a sneaker that fits all of my running needs.
Running Tips & Advice
New Balance 766 Product Review - These New Balance sneakers replace the New Balance 765, which had really grown in popularity. The 765 had a good fit, but some runners complained of it being a little too roomy and the forefoot being slightly flat. With the New Balance 766 both these issues have been addressed.
