Looking for the Ideal Sports Bra?
Moisture wicking, comfort and support is key in choosing the sports bra. These days technology in fabrics have advanced so far that it is no longer necessary to feel discomfort and moisture in your sporting bra.
Find Comfort in your Sports Bra
Having a good sports bra with proper support is important to reduce discomfort while exercising. Any female runner that has sweat in 100% cotton knows the importance of having a exercise bra that will wick moisture from your skin and allow it to evaporate rapidly so that you can feel comfortable while you exercise. These features are not only important when choosing your running bra but also when choosing running shorts, tights, socks or any other running or triathlon gear.Having a good sports bra with proper support is important to reduce discomfort while exercising. Selection in stores may be limited and hard to get the best discounts, but through online shopping for running apparel it is so easy to browse and compare before making your choice. There are countless numbers of stores at your fingertips.
If you've shopped for a sports Bras, then you are only too aware of the wide choice available. Sports bras come in such a variety of brands, sizes, shapes and with various features that it's hard to know which one may be right for you. But because no two women are created equally, there is a good chance that the running bra that I choose, would not be the best choice for my female running partner.
When I shop for a running bra, the features that I look for can be summed up in three words: support, comfort and breathability. Even after you find a sports bra that feels good in the change room - you still need to put it to the test - go for a run in it. It's only after your run that you will really be able to tell if it really provides the proper support, controls the moisture and doesn't chafe.
Allow me to make a couple of recommendations:
The Nike PR Short Sport Top, not only feels good, it looks great. It has breathable mesh panels and DRI-fit fabric which work well to control the moisture. It provides good support as the inner bra has built in bra cups.
For the Sports Bra Plus, the Champion Action Shape Sports Bra offers lots of support and it is comfortable enough to wear day to day. It has velcro straps that are easily adjustable and they do not slip. It also provides good moisture wicking. This Champion Running Bra has a traditional back closure with three or four hooks. Great for those that need a bit of extra support.
The Brooks Powerpro Sport Bra has a very popular reversible feature on it. It also has no annoying itchy tags on either side. This jogging bra contains a high percentage of spandex which offers good support, doesn't chafe and is extremely comfortable.
Last of all, I have to give a Gold Medal to the Moving Comfort Olympia Bra. It comes in first place in Comfort, Support and Style. It's soft, wicks moisture and doesn't chafe. Definitely comfortable enough to wear everyday.
I'll say it again, we all all different shapes and sizes and what works for Mary, may not work for Jane. But there are many great Athletic Bras out there and there's also one for you.
